Overview
The Cottage is the only accommodation on the estate that stands entirely on its own. Built from stone gathered within the valley and timber milled on site, it sits low and heavy against the bank — a building that feels like it grew there rather than arrived.
Two bedrooms open off a single high-ceilinged living room anchored by a wood-burning stove. Wide doors give onto a sheltered terrace a few steps from the water, which is where most guests end up spending the evening regardless of the weather.
It is the most private option we have, and the one families and longer stays tend to ask for. Mornings here are cold, bright, and worth getting up for.
