Practical Matters
The questions we are asked most, answered plainly — including the ones where the honest answer is still pending.

How do I make a reservation?
Start with the booking enquiry form on this site. It captures your dates, sanctuary and any experiences you would like, and our team replies with confirmed availability and a rate. Bookings are not finalised until you receive that written confirmation.
Why are rates not shown on the website?
Rates vary by season, length of stay and which experiences you include, so we confirm them individually rather than publishing a figure that may not apply to your dates.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our current cancellation terms are [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL]. They are set out in full in your booking confirmation before any payment is taken.
Is there a minimum stay?
Most sanctuaries have a two-night minimum, extending over peak weekends and holidays. Tell us your dates in the enquiry and we will confirm what applies.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL] and check-out by [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL]. If you are travelling a long distance, tell us and we will do what we can to flex either end.
Do you have wi-fi?
Yes, throughout the estate. We keep it discreet rather than absent — the aim is that you can choose to disconnect, not that the choice is made for you.
Are the accommodations accessible?
Accessibility varies significantly between our sanctuaries — the Canopy Suite is reached by stair, while the Earth Villa is on a single level. Current step-free access details are [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL]. Please contact us before booking and we will describe each option honestly.
Can we bring our dog?
Our current pet policy is [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL]. Do ask — parts of the estate are an active nature reserve, which affects where dogs can go.
Is there air conditioning?
No, by design. Every building is passively cooled through cross-ventilation, deep shading and thermal mass. It holds temperature remarkably well, and it uses no energy to do it.
Where does the food come from?
The large majority comes from our own farm, harvested the same day. What we cannot grow — grains, some dairy, coffee — comes from named producers in the surrounding region wherever possible.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian and vegan menus are always available, and we handle allergies and intolerances routinely. Tell us in your booking enquiry so the kitchen can plan around the harvest.
Are meals included in the rate?
Breakfast is included with every stay. Lunch and dinner can be added to your booking or arranged during your stay, subject to kitchen capacity.
Do I need to book experiences in advance?
We recommend it. Group sizes are deliberately small and the popular sessions fill early. You can add experiences to your booking enquiry.
What happens if the weather is poor?
Most experiences run in most weather — we will lend you the kit. Where an activity genuinely cannot go ahead safely we move it or offer an alternative, at no additional cost.
Are experiences suitable for children?
Several are, and the Family Farm Day is built specifically for ages five to fourteen. Each experience page lists its suitability.
How do I reach the estate?
The nearest airport is [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL], roughly [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL] by road. Full driving directions and public transport options are on our Location page.
Is there parking, and can I charge an electric vehicle?
On-site parking is available for all guests. Current EV charging provision is [INSERT VERIFIED DETAIL].
Can you arrange a transfer?
Yes — we can arrange a transfer from the nearest station or airport. Request it in your booking enquiry and we will confirm the cost.
What does "eco resort" actually mean here?
Concretely: buildings made from materials sourced on or near the site, passive climate control instead of mechanical, a closed-loop water system, on-site renewable generation, composting of all organic waste back into the farm, and local employment. Our Sustainability page sets out each in detail.
Do you publish your environmental data?
We are in the process of having our figures independently verified. Rather than publish unverified numbers, we have left those statistics clearly marked as pending on the Sustainability page until the audit completes.
If your question is not here, ask us directly. We would rather answer properly than have you guess.
